1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using RentRight AI (“Service”), operated by TrueSolve LLC d/b/a RentRight AI (“Company,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including landlords and tenants. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

RentRight AI is a property management platform designed for independent landlords managing 1–10 rental units. The Service includes AI-powered tools for lease management, maintenance tracking, rent collection, legal information, and communication between landlords and tenants.

The Service is offered in two roles: Landlord accounts (with full platform access) and Tenant accounts (with limited portal access scoped to your unit).

3. Not Legal Advice

The AI assistant is provided for informational purposes only. Landlords are solely responsible for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Fair Housing Act, and all landlord-tenant regulations in their jurisdiction.

4. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@rentright.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Accounts are non-transferable.

5. Subscription and Billing

RentRight AI offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge you for your selected plan.

The free tier requires a valid credit card on file. You will not be charged unless you upgrade to a paid plan. Annual plans are discounted approximately 17% versus monthly billing (equivalent to 2 months free).

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refund Policy:

• Monthly plans: No refunds. You retain access through the end of the current billing period upon cancellation.
• Annual plans: A pro-rated refund is available within 14 days of your annual purchase if you have not meaningfully used the Service. After 14 days, no refunds are issued, but you retain access through the end of your annual term.
• Billing errors: If you were charged in error or experienced a duplicate charge, contact us at support@rentright.ai and we will resolve it promptly.
• Free tier: No charges apply to the free tier.

We reserve the right to issue goodwill refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact support@rentright.ai with your account email and reason for the request.

6. Rent Collection and Payments

Rent collection is facilitated through Stripe Connect. By using rent collection features, you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. TrueSolve LLC is not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. We are not responsible for payment failures, disputes, or delays.

ACH payments typically take 1–3 business days to process. Card payments may be processed faster but incur higher fees. Landlords are responsible for configuring and disclosing any late fees to tenants in accordance with applicable law.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate lease drafts, notices, maintenance triage assessments, and other content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before use
• AI lease drafts must be reviewed for compliance with your state’s specific requirements
• AI maintenance triage assessments are advisory only and do not replace professional inspection
• Tenants have no access to the AI assistant under any circumstance

8. Fair Housing Compliance

You agree to use the Service in full compliance with the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. § 3604) and all applicable state and local fair housing laws. You may not use the Service to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or any other protected class.

AI-generated lease documents are designed to include Fair Housing Act compliance language, but you are solely responsible for ensuring your leases and practices comply with all applicable law.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of all data you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant TrueSolve LLC a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Discriminate against tenants or prospective tenants in violation of fair housing laws
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service
• Use automated systems to scrape or extract data

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and content (excluding user-uploaded content), is owned by TrueSolve LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “RentRight AI” and associated marks are trademarks of TrueSolve LLC.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUESOLVE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrueSolve LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be exported and then permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version and effective date are always shown at the top of this page.
